At Elite Skin Studio, we specialise in the treatment and removal of skin blemishes and unwanted skin lesions.
This advanced cosmetic procedure treatment uses a short wave diathermy current, which is a small high frequency electrical discharge that is applied via a fine probe into the affected area. The procedure works by stemming the blood flow that feeds the blemish, the blemish will then shrink and scab away. We can treat a wide variety of these ‘lumps and bumps’, as listed below, and recommend that you come in for an initial consultation so that we can ensure you are suitable for treatment and can get the best results for you. Prices do vary depending on the extent of the treatment area, some smaller blemishes may be removed in one session, but you may need more to get your desired result depending on your reaction to treatment.

In some instances treatments may take only a few seconds to complete. However, for most conditions treatment times vary between 20 minutes to ½ an hour and may require further sessions depending on the extent of the problem.
The treatment area will feel slight tender as the procedure takes place, however this will not last long and you will be given a cooling aloe vera gel to take home which will help with any soreness.
There is no risk of scarring or complication and providing after care guidelines are followed healing is complete within 7 to 10 days. You will receive full aftercare advice as well as a thorough leaflet to read at home.
